Salacious Bird

I got an email yesterday from the fabulous Kate, pointing out that in spite of Birdie's adoptive status and mystery background, it is still possible to discover something of her genealogy.

"Dear Cheasty," wrote Kate. "Now you know I love Birdie, but... I do think that second picture of her [on yesterday's post] looks a bit like Jaba the Hutt's pet, Salacious Crumb."

I didn't want to believe it. My adorable Bird, related to such a repugnant creature?

But then I looked at the picture Kate was talking about.

Oh, dear. I guess from now on it'll be Uncle Salacious Crumb.

No, YOU are awesome. It's not every person who has the name of Jabba the Hutt's pet on instant recall.

Birdie, for the record, is highly offended. :)

Both of y'all are awesome.

So is Birdie.

Instant recall? Heck no, try google! And it was Andy who brought it up, I would NEVER say anything so distasteful.

Please tell Birdie that I meant no harm, but that maybe the picture wasn't taken of her "good side." (Dang, now I'm offending the photographer. Maybe I just ought to keep my mouth shut.)
